Tim qualified in 1990 from Edinburgh’s Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies. After working in mixed practice in Lincoln and small animal practice in Edinburgh and the West Midlands, he settled in Northumberland to pursue his main interest of small animal medicine.
In 1998 he passed his RCVS certificate in Small Animal Medicine and, after 7 years working in a local practice, left to spend a year in Industry, working as a technical vet. A year turned into several as he kept being offered increasingly enticing career challenges and opportunities that drew on his skills and experience as a vet.
Latterly, Tim worked as Veterinary Affairs Manager for a large well respected multinational company. In this role he was responsible for technical affairs, vet school teaching, continuing education and the company’s relationship with key vets and specialists at Universities and referral practices throughout the UK & Ireland.
Tim has now settled back in the North East and is delighted to have returned to clinical work. He lives in Northumberland with his wife, who is also a vet, two children and pet Labrador Breeze. When not at work Tim is a keen cyclist and loves spending his free time outdoors in rural Northumberland.
