Heather qualified for the University of Edinburgh’s Royal Dick School of Veterinary Studies in in 1992. After 2 years in mixed practice on the outskirts of Edinburgh, then a period travelling in New Zealand, she set down roots in the North East of England. Since then she has worked as a dedicated small animal vet in practices in the North East of England and has been with Moorview since 2014.
In recent years Heather has pursued her interest in small animal medicine with further intensive post graduate study, and in 2016 was awarded a post graduate certificate in the subject. She also has a keen interest in canine and feline dentistry and is one of the team of vets who undertakes a range of the routine dental procedures at our Northumberland Park Clinic.
Heather counts herself very fortunate to live in the beautiful county of Northumberland with her husband and lovely black Labrador Breeze. She has two grown up children who are now both studying at Newcastle University. In her spare time she enjoys exploring the stunning local countryside, travelling both at home and abroad, and cooking, especially for family and friends.
