Michelle joined Moorview in the summer of 2019 as a roaming receptionist covering all seven of the Primary Care practices; however she is now a more permanent fixture at our Brunton Park practice in Gosforth.
After working in many sectors including Banking, Accountancy and IT, she started to pursue her dream of working with animals in 2016 when she enrolled as a very mature student at Houghall College in Durham to study Animal Management. During her two years there, she volunteered at an animal rescue centre near Barnard Castle, something she wishes she still had time to do as she loved caring for the wide variety of animals there. This then led to a permanent job as an animal carer at a different rescue centre in Weardale, until she decided to combine her passion for animals with her customer service skills to become a receptionist with ourselves.
In her spare time, Michelle loves caravanning with her partner and their two Border Collies, Dinkie and Donut. She has also kept chinchillas for almost 20 years having had 13 at one time, but now just has a couple of very cheeky boys called Saturn and Rigsy.
