At Moorview we aim to combine the
latest therapies from surgery and medicine to treat pets affected
by cancer. This may involve using our diagnostic imaging
capabilities to offer prognostic (outlook) advice.
Diagnostic imaging
Using MRI, X-rays, ultrasound and endoscopy we can locate any additional tumours (metastases) and give you the comfort of knowing if it is a single mass or, alternatively, that there are other masses and so plan treatment.
Surgery
This may be used to cure disease, to reduce the tumour load or just to obtain biopsies to allow us to define the tumour type.
Medicine
Medication will be important in managing the complications of cancer and managing chemotherapy. We have wide experience at Moorview of chemotherapy for lymphoma/ leukaemia , mast cell tumours, histiocytic tumours, thyroid tumours and bone tumours.
Overall, we feel that we have the people, equipment and experience to offer your pet excellent quality care if it is unfortunate enough to suffer from cancer.
